WILL THE REAL TAZZI PLEASE STAND UP

Music in my Life...

I've always enjoyed listening to music. I was brought up in a family that all had been blessed with musical talent. There was always a band practicing down in the basement. My step father was an amazing jazz and blues keyboard player. My beautiful mother joined in with her accordion and stand up bass. It was her voice that I can still hear singing in my ears. My brothers formed a little basement band called The Cougar Cats when they were barely 8 and 10 years old. In Park Forest Ill. Mid 1960's... Sold out standing room only as we sang to the Beatles and the Archie's... the Monkees.... As we got older we all stayed with it. Joining and forming different bands through high school... Phoenix AZ from the late 70's - late 90's... LOL I remember my first born when I was 20 would crawl inside the big bass drum while my brother Danny played them... and fall asleep with his bottle. I was the only one that had no real talents with instruments and really don't think I sing well. But I always imagined me up there with them. The lights, the applause, the adrenaline rush.

Mom and Poppa passing away...changes, time passed my older brother Kent moved to Atlanta, where he became a very successful production manager and band promoter for Center Stage in Atlanta, Started his own recording studio for audio and music videos.... Lucid Media Arts... Over the years has had so many amazing places he has gone and the people he has met. The memories and fascinating stories that I could listen to all day long of each experience. The photos and videos. He had never stopped following his passion for the stage... Only he wanted to be behind the scenes, lights, cameras, action... The hustle, the VIPs. all so exciting.. And never looked at one famous rock star, artist or musician like a star struck fool.. ( like I would ). I could drop name after name of those that he had worked with and put on spectacular shows with.

It was not until I found Second Life that all those wishful dreams and fantasies seeing myself as a Rock Star came as close to real and true as I would ever get. And I still get nervous before the shows. I have been an SL tribute band musician for 6 of the 7 years to date that I have been in SL. I have worked with and met some amazing people. Developed skills and experiences that have given me even more dreams. Also, had shown me that there was even more to explore. And that is when I discovered a whole new music community of LIVE performers. I want everyone to hear them. Know them. This is where Sound Stage Live was founded, and my first magazine was published in world. It was not enough. So here and now finally, I am ready to share this web page with the public and let you see why I get so excited about my friends and the SL Music Community.... From Live DJs who broadcast and stream with all their own style. To Tribute bands Roll Playing with full tribute concerts... to the live instrumentals to Live singers and song writers....There are even well known musicians who have had real tours and hit the charts as we sang along that come into SL, (Names are changed of course, No need to expose them by real names.) Many have retired or no longer tour. That is the thing about music and song... It never dies. The Legacy will forever live on. Welcome to Sound Stage Live.................
